This number may be how you get your insurance for health care which you badly need. If it is stolen, it could lead to false information being placed on your records and preventing you from getting the healthcare you need.

Stealing a person's driver's license is another of the many types of identity theft that occurs regularly. The person can drive and get tickets as well as obtain insurance and then not pay. All of this will go against you since they are doing it with your identity.
